At Colorful Gardens gardens we provide different landscaping consultation services, depending on the level of service you are looking for:
Initial meeting- consultation:
We provide free project estimates. Before any estimate we meet you at your property for a consultation.
If you have a project you need us to install, (patio, walkway, retaining wall, etc) we come out free of charge discuss it with you and email you a free written estimate.
If your yard needs landscape design,several areas needs to be addressed either for hardscaping or planting areas needs to be created, there are many design choices to be made.
We go over the areas with you, asses the natural factors, existing conditions, your likes, your style, the future purpose of the area, etc. Based on these discussion we can give you advise on material choices, layout, discuss potential budget, guide you through the process of installation.
This consultation may come with an informal drawing of the proposed layout (depending on the nature of the project), sketched during consultation.
Design consultations scheduled for a fee of $ 75 - they usually take about 1 hr.
We will provide you a free emailed written estimate based on this meeting.
More complex, scale drawings can be prepared upon your request, see Design page.

Coaching consultation:
This is a helping advise when you want to do the gardening work yourself or you need a design advice.
Our horticulturist/ designer will meet you at your yard, go over areas and coach you about the right gardening techniques, tell you about soil preparation, pruning, design improvements, plant choices, advise you on garden centers, suppliers, etc, all to make sure you will be able to do the project the best, as it can be done- professionally.

Our fee for this service is $ 75 by the hour.
In the S and W Raleigh, downtown Raleigh, Garner, E Cary and Apex areas -no extra charge for traveling, outside of this areas- call - small traveling fee added.
Design drawings can be prepared based on this consultations, upon request, cost established based on property size and drawing details, See Design descriptions.
